i) About Us
Bromley Blinds supplies and fits made-to-measure window blinds, shutters and other types of window coverings, including curtains, awnings and canopies. We also offer a bespoke soft furnishings service.
We provide no-obligation quotations and a free-of-charge advice service for domestic and commercial customers alike.
We constantly strive to provide our customers with the highest quality and best-value products in today’s window furnishing market, combined with outstanding service.
ii) Delivery timescales
At the time of quotation, we will provide you with an approximate delivery date. A confirmed install date will be given as soon as the company is in receipt of the product.
Non-wooden blinds - Please allow a minimum of 21 days from the time of order to fitting.
Wooden venetians - Please allow a minimum of 28 days from the time of order to fitting.
Bespoke wooden shutters and complex curtains - Delivery times will be confirmed at the time of order and will be based on the type of wood, fabrics and finish chosen.
Our products are bespoke and made to the requirements of our customers. On occasions there may be unforeseen delays to the timescales outlined in this section.
iii) Cancellation policy
All our products are custom made to the specifications agreed with you at the time you accept the quotation. They are not suitable for resale or reuse. It is therefore very important that you are sure of your purchase choices before placing your order.
Cancellations and changes can only be made for a period of 48 hours after you have placed your order. All cancellations and changes made during this period will be subject to an administration charge of 5% of the total value of your order. We will deduct this administration fee from your deposit and refund the balance to you.
Bromley Blinds will not issue refunds or credits for cancellations or changes outside of the first 48 hours. Therefore, the full 50% deposit collected at the time of your order will be forfeit.
On very rare occasions, there may be delays caused by factors beyond our control. These include, but are not limited to, third-party manufacturing issues (e.g. out-of-stock materials, factory delays), shipping delays or weather conditions. In the event of a known delay, you will be contacted and informed immediately. Bromley Blinds does not take responsibility for such delays. We are unable to offer partial/full refunds in the event of such manufacturing issues or delays. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Bromley Blinds reserves the right to reject any order at its discretion.
Our products carry a 3-year warranty. MDF shutters carry a 3-year warranty. Hardwood shutters (MDF Frame) carry a 5-year warranty. White Teak and ABS shutters carry a 10-year warranty.
The warranty on our products is activated when the full balance for your order is paid. A final invoice showing a balance of £0 will be sent to you once the outstanding balance is settled. For the avoidance of doubt, the warranty is not valid on products that have not been paid in full.
On occasion, items may arrive with various damages. These will be covered under the warranty specified for each period and will be replaced as such. The lead time for which is the same as outlined in article ii. We can not offer partial refunds for damages out of our control and still within the warranty period.
For other specialist products (e.g. awnings, carports and motorised blinds) manufacturer’s warranty will apply on mechanical and electric components. This is usually 12 (twelve) months from installation but varies depending on the product and manufacturer. Manufacturer’s warranty covers failure of the components solely in the course of normal usage. Bromley Blinds offers a 3 (three) year warranty on fabrics. The fabric warranty covers manufacturing faults and defects, excluding normal wear and tear. On selected products, extended warranty packages can be purchased at an additional cost. These packages include annual maintenance, cleaning and servicing, and they are priced on an individual basis. For the avoidance of doubt, warranties are activated once outstanding balances are settled and they are not valid on products that have not been paid in full.
Please note our fitters require unrestricted access to all windows. Please arrange furniture and other items to be moved prior to our visit. Bromley Blinds is not liable for damages of items left in close proximity of your windows or produced as a result of items being left near the windows.
v)Billing and payments
Once an order has been agreed, it is processed on receipt of a 50% deposit (including VAT). A VAT invoice is issued on receipt of your order confirmation. The balance is due on the day before the confirmed fitting date.
We may also offer you an upfront payment discount if the invoice is paid in full at the time of the order.
Where a full survey is required, a deposit of at least 50% of the quote value must be paid prior to the full survey being carried out.
All goods supplied by Ourselves remain our property until the full balance on your order has been paid in full. Payment of the balance falls due on the day the works are completed. This activates the warranty on your products. For the avoidance of doubt, no warranty issue will be dealt with until full payment of the balance on your order.
Bromley Blinds reserves the right to use debt collecting agencies to collect unpaid balances.
Payments can be made by cheque, cash or BACs. Payments by selected credit/debit cards are also accepted. Details on how to make a payment are listed on our invoices.
Bromley Blinds will ensure the privacy, confidentiality and safety of the personal data of our customers. We only collect the minimum information necessary to provide a response to your enquiries and deliver our services. Examples of data collected are name, address, telephone number and email address. This information may be disclosed to authorised third parties in order to process your order.
Bromley Blinds will not rent or sell your personal information to any other unrelated company, or individual, without your express permission.
Bromley Blinds may use your email address to send you special offers and discounts. Your email address will never be used or shared with other organisations or individuals, without your express prior consent.
Your financial information, credit or debit card details will not be stored at any time in our database. Financial information is promptly disposed of in a secure and safe manner.
